I’m Ellie Wright, (hi!). Here is an insight into how we work at Psychology 4.
PEOPLE WHO CARE
I never work alone. My colleagues at Psychology 4 are Clinical, Educational and Forensic Psychologists and, their assistants. This community of experts share a motivation of genuine care for each client.
I’m an assistant too. I help coordinate our operations, ensuring colleagues are supported in offering clients their wealth of approaches and techniques.
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT WORKING AT PSYCHOLOGY 4
Working in this collaborative community is a constant learning experience for colleagues and clients. Psychologists here are at the forefront of their fields. They share knowledge and experience, gleaned from decades in public and independent health sectors, with eagerness and generosity.
A FLEXIBLE, GLOBAL GANG
You can find my colleagues comparing the benefits of different approaches and methods long after 18:00, by encrypted mail, secure video calls or here at Great James Street.
As a client, you might meet with a Clinical Psychologist before 09:00 am, on a Saturday, Sunday, at home or by Zoom from the Southern Hemisphere. We appreciate how hard it can be to fit into someone else’s schedule so we do everything we can to make our practitioners easy to reach.
Of course, you are also always welcome at 35 Great James St, London, WC1N where we operate 52 weeks a year.
IT’S NOT JUST US
Each person who works at Psychology 4 brings a network of peers at the forefront of psychological, clinical, legal, educational, and health approaches.
35 GREAT JAMES STREET
And, we work in an independent practice home to a range of clinicians: psychiatrists, counsellors, paediatricians, psychotherapists and psychologists. This means we have a collection of specialists beyond our core team to signpost you to.
OPEN PSYCHOLOGY CLINIC
Clients often seek specific support for their children (aged 0 – 25 years) without quite knowing what this should be. Our Open Psychology Clinic offers a space to easily meet with our Clinical, Educational and Forensic Psychologists and plan what care you or your child needs.
You might only need this one off session, or we might plan for you or someone from your family to have ongoing sessions with a practitioner. We also make referrals both within our independent practice and to the NHS.
WE ARE ALL ALWAYS LEARNING
Working amongst these giving, caring and talented practitioners is a pleasure and a privilege. Our client’s needs change. Psychology 4’s psychologists meet this evolving demand by contributing to the development of approaches in their field. Being part of a process that brings psychologists and clients together makes Psychology 4 a rewarding place to work.
